Apple Nut Cake

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup margarine
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
3 cups chopped or cut up apple
3 cups sifted flour
1 ˝ teaspoon baking soda
˝ teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups chopped nuts

Instructions

Mix margarine and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and beat again. Mix all dry ingredients together. Add vanilla to egg mixture, add flour mixture, apples and nuts alternately. Butter bundt pan or large oblong pan well. Batter will be thick. If you haven’t a bundt pan, a tube pan will do. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Let cool in pan before removing. Turn over and let cool on bottom. This freezes beautifully.
