Bavarian Fruit

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

1 No. 2 ½ can whole peeled apricots; drained, save liquid
1 No. 2 can crushed pineapple, drained, save liquid
2 envelopes plain gelatin, soaked 5 minutes in 1 cup cold water
pinch of salt

Instructions

In saucepan bring to boil 1 cup of fruit syrup, (1/2 of each), 6 tablespoons lemon juice, ¾ cup sugar, salt. Add dissolved gelatin to above and let cool a bit, add drained pineapple and apricots (remove pits and mash with fork). Chill until wiggly. Whip 1 pint all purpose cream with 2 teaspoons vanilla. Fold into mixture. Line spring-form pan with 2 ½ packages split lady fingers. Fill with mixture. Can add thin layer of frozen whipped topping.
