Beef with Pea Pods

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

1 ½ lbs. Flank stead
1 8 oz. Bottle French dressing
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 cup (8 oz.) can small whole onions, drained
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon cold water
2 tomatoes cut in wedges
1 (10 oz.) package frozen Chinese pea pods, thawed and drained
hot cooked rice

Instructions

Slice meat diagonally into ¼ inch strips. Marinate in dressing and garlic, several hours. Drain, reserving marinade. Brown meat in small amounts of marinade. After browned, add remaining marinade, onions and soy sauce. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Blend cornstarch and water, stir into meat mixture, continue cooking, stirring constantly until sauce is clear and thickened. Add pea pods and tomatoes, heat thoroughly. Serve on cooked rice.
