Chocolate Cheese Cake

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

Crush 2 packages81/2 ounces chocolate ice box cookies to make two cups of crumbs
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 ½ pounds softened cream cheese
16 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons cocoa
3 cups sour cream
¼ cup melted sweet butter

Instructions

Mix crumbs, cinnamon, and the half cup of melted butter. Press the crumbs firmly to the bottom and sides of a spring form pan. Chill. Beat the sugar with four eggs until light and fluffy. Ad the cream cheese gradually, beating well after each addition. Melt chocolate and add to the egg mixture along with the one teaspoon vanilla and two tablespoons cocoa, add sour cream beating constantly. Add the melted sweet butter and mix well. Pour the mixture into the chilled crust and bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Chill overnight in refrigerator. Can be frozen.
