Chocolate Pecan Pie

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

Pre heat oven to 375°
2 squares (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate
3 tablespoons margarine or butter
1 cup light corn syrup
¾ cup sugar
½ teaspoon salt
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

In a double boiler, melt butter and chocolate together. Combine syrup and sugar in a pan and simmer 2 minutes. Add chocolate mix and let cool. Add salt to slightly beaten eggs. Slowly dribble syrup mix into eggs, stir constantly. Blend in nuts and vanilla. Pour into shell and bake for 35 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
