Chocolate Snappers

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 envelopes (2 ounces) chocolate, (pre-melted)
1 ¾ cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¾ cup soft shortening
¼ cup corn syrup
2 teaspoons baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

Combine sugar, shortening and egg. Beat until creamy. Stir in corn syrup and chocolate. Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and add to mixture. Shape into balls, using 1 level tablespoon for each. Roll in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Let stand a few minutes before removing from pans. Makes 3 dozen 3 inch cookies.
