Cornmeal Crust for Meat or Fish Pies

Recipe Ingredients
½ cup cornmeal
¾ cup sifted flour
½ teaspoon salt
1/3 cup vegetable shortening
3 to 4 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
Sift together corn meal, flour and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add water, a tablespoon at a time, stirring until just dampened. (if necessary, add a little more water to make dough hold together). Form into ball. Roll on floured board to 1/8 inch thickness.
