Cream Cheese Coffee Cake

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

½ cup butter or margarine
8 oz. cream cheese
1 ¼ cups sugar
2 eggs 
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/3 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup milk

Instructions

Topping: Combine 1/3 cup each; flour and brown sugar with ½ teaspoon cinnamon and 2 tablespoons butter. Mix until mixture resembles coarse corn meal. Cream together butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until well blended. Sift together dry ingredients; add alternately with milk. Spoon into greased 13 X 9 inch pan; sprinkle topping over batter. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
