Easy Yams and Cherries

Recipe Ingredients
2 tablespoons margarine
½ cup orange marmalade
2 tablespoons water
cinnamon, dash
nutmeg, dash
2 (16 ounce) cans of yams or 4 fresh cooked yams
2 cups dark sweet cherries, pitted and drained
Instructions
In a large saucepan combine butter, marmalade, water and spices. Stir over medium heat until everything is melted. Add yams and cook slowly for 5 minutes. Turn yams. Add cherries. Cook 1 or 2 minutes longer, basting with marmalade mixture.
