Feathery Fudge Cake (Pareve)
Recipe Description
Recipe Ingredients
2/3 cup margarine
1 ¾ cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 ounces pre-melted chocolate
2 ½ cups sifted cake flour
1 ¼ teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 ¼ cups ice water
Instructions
Cream together margarine and sugar; add eggs and vanilla. At high speed beat until fluffy, at least 5 minutes. Blend in chocolate. Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with ice water. Turn into two 9 inch layer pans which have been lined with waxed paper. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes.
Frosting
3 ounces pre-melted chocolate
1 pond sifted confectioners’ sugar
2 tablespoons hot water
1 egg
½ cup margarine at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla
Place al ingredients in mixer bowl, beat until fluffy.
