Fish Loaf - Standard
Recipe Description
Recipe Ingredients
Pre heat oven to 400°.
Poach fish in slated water for 5 minutes.
Flake 1 lb. cooked haddock or turbot.
Combine:
1 egg
¼ cup undiluted evaporated milk
¾ cup soft bread crumbs
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon paprika
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon melted butter
3 tablespoons minced parsley
1 raw carrot, grated
1 stalk celery
2 tablespoons grated onion or 1 tablespoon dry onion flakes
Add the fish to these ingredients. Place in a greased 9 X 8 X 8 inch
baking dish. Sprinkle the top with bread crumbs. Bake for about 30
minutes. This may be served hot with a cheese sauce or cold.
