Fishyssoise Soup

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 can condensed cream of potato soup
¾ cup milk
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
2 tablespoons dry white wine
1 (6 ½ oz) can tuna, drained and broken in chucks
2 slices French bread, toasted
2 slices process American cheese

Instructions

In a small saucepan, cook onion in butter until tender. Add soup. Gradually stir in milk, wine and Worcestershire. Add tuna; heat just to boiling. Pour into two 2 cup casseroles; place one slice tasted bread atop each. Top toast with cheese slices. Place under preheated broiler, 3 to 4 inches from heat. Broil until cheese puffs, melts, and is lightly browned ( 1 to 2 minutes). Serves 2.
