Foo Yung Fritters

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

6 eggs
1 cup flour
1½ teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon soy sauce
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 (1 lb.) can bean sprouts, drained
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms, drained

Instructions

Beat eggs. Stiff together flour and baking powder; add to beaten eggs; mix until smooth. With scissors, snip bean sprouts into 1/8 inch lengths. Finely chop mushrooms. Add remaining ingredients and fold into batter; blend well. In a large skillet, heat oil (about ½ inch deep). Drop mixture by ½ teaspoonfuls into the hot oil; turn once. Fry until golden brown and puffy. Drain on paper towels. Sere with sweet & pungent sauce. Can be frozen and reheated in 350° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
