Foolproof Piecrust

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

4 cups flour
1 ¾ cups vegetable shortening
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 egg, fork beaten
½ cup water
1 tablespoon vinegar

Instructions

Mix together first four ingredients. In separate bowl, beat remaining ingredients. Combine stirring with fork until all ingredients are moistened. Mold dough into ball; chill at least 15 minutes before rolling. Makes two 9 inch double crust pies plus 1 9-inch shell. Can be frozen (or left in refrigerator for 3 days).
