Ginger Carrots or Butternut Squash

In electric fry pan make a syrup of:
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup water
4 to 5 pieces crystallized ginger cut up
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon lemon pepper
Instructions
When dissolved add 2 cups carrots, cut on the diagonal or 1 butternut squash peeled and cut in chunks. Cook slowly until tender. Add extra powdered ginger if necessary.
