Ida’s Coconut Pound Cake

1 cup vegetable shortening
2 cups sugar
6 eggs
1 ounce coconut flavoring
2 cups cake flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 pinch salt
¼ cup orange juice
Instructions
Beat for 15 minutes the shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, and coconut flavoring. Sift flour, baking powder and salt and add to mixture. Add orange juice. Beat 20 minutes and bake in tube or bundt pan for one hour at 350°.
