Recipe Ingredients
¾ cup soft butter
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 2/3 cups sifted flour
3 egg yolks
2 ¼ cups packed light brown sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
¾ cup flaked coconut
3 egg whites beaten stiff
confectioners sugar
Instructions
Cream butter, add granulated sugar, beat till light, add flour and mix well. Pat into 13 X 9 X 2 inch pan. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes.
Beat egg yolks and gradually beat in brown sugar. Add nuts and coconut. Fold in stiff egg whites. Spread onto baked mixture. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
Dust with confectioners sugar and cut into small squares.
