Kasha (Buckwheat Groats)

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

Brown 1 cup kasha in a skillet. Drop 1 egg on groats and scramble around 
quickly to dry. Cook with 2 cups boiling water, salt and pepper. Cover 
and simmer slowly until liquid is absorbed. Boil half a package of bow 
knot noodles until done and drain. Sauté 1 large onion and 1 can of 
mushrooms (or ½ pound fresh) in ¼ cup chicken fat. Combine cooked 
groats, bow knots and sautéed vegetables. Bake uncovered 30 minutes.
