Macaroon Apple Pie
Recipe Description
Recipe Ingredients
4 cups sliced apples
½ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
lemon juice to taste
Peel apples, coat with sugar and cinnamon, add lemon juice. Put into
greased 9 or 10 inc glass pie plate. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes. Put on topping.
Topping
½ cup sugar
2 tablespoons margarine
1 egg, slightly beaten
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup flour
½ teaspoon vanilla
½ cup coconut
Cream margarine and sugar. Add egg and sifted dry ingredients. Mix together
and spread over apples. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes until golden brown.
