Marinated Mushrooms

Recipe Ingredients
¾ cup salad oil
1/3 cup wine vinegar
1½ teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon basil
¾ teaspoon sugar
1 bay leaf
dash of pepper
1 clove garlic, quartered
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in large saucepan; simmer, covered for 10 minutes. Add 2 lb. sliced fresh mushrooms, 2 green peppers, cut in 1 inch squares; add one onion, which has been quartered and sliced about ½ inch thick. Cover and simmer 10 minutes more. Refrigerate.
