Meatballs, Low Cholesterol

Recipe Ingredients
1 ½ lbs. Lean ground beef
1 slice bread soaked in ¼ cup water
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon ginger
16 oz tomato sauce
2 cups tomato juice
1 onion, diced
1 1-pound can sauerkraut
½ cup raisins
½ cup brown sugar
6 gingersnaps, crushed
Instructions
Combine meat, bread, spices and form into 1-inch balls. Pour tomato sauce and tomato juice in large pot. Add onion and sauerkraut. Stir well. Add remaining ingredients. Add meatballs. Cover and simmer 1 ½ hours. Freezes well. Serves 6.
