Nutty Chocolate Candy Cookie

Recipe Ingredients

1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate bits
4 tablespoons margarine
¾ cups sugar
1 egg
1 ½ teaspoon vanilla
½ cup flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

In small saucepan over low heat, melt 1 cup bits. Cool. In small bowl, cream together margarine and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Blend in melted chocolate. Mix flour, salt and baking powder and add to creamed mixture until thoroughly blended. Stir in nuts and remaining bits. Drop dough from teaspoon 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Bake in 350° oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
