One Dish Strudel

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

Sift together 2 ˝ cups flour,1/4 cup sugar,1 ˝ teaspoons baking 
powder. Make well and add 1 egg, ˝ cup oil and ˝ cup lukewarm water. 
Mix into a dough. This may need a little extra flour for rolling out. 
Cut dough into 4pieces and roll out into circles or oblong shapes. 
Fill with jam, nuts coconut, cinnamon and sugar. Form into 4 rolls 
and place seam side down on greased cookie sheet. Cover top of 
each roll with sugar-cinnamon mixture. Bake in 350°oven for 30 to 
35 minutes until brown. Cool and cut into slices. Freezes well.
For knishes, omit 
sugar and add a little salt. Fill with kasha or potatoes.
