Oven Fried Fish Fillets

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

2 pounds flounder, sole or perch fillets
½ cup fine dry bread crumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
1 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons salad oil
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind,(optional)

Instructions

Combine bread crumbs, salt, pepper, parsley flakes and paprika in a bowl; add oil and lemon rind (if desired). Blend with fork until thoroughly combined. Spread on wax paper. Press fish fillets into crumb mixture to coat both sides. Place on nonstick baking sheet. (or spray with non-caloric vegetable spray). Bake at 450° for 12 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork. This is a low-cholesterol and fairly low calorie. 8 servings = 146 calories each. Note: if not interested in cholesterol or calories, dip fish in milk or coat with mayonnaise. Then dip in crumbs, place in melted butter in pan and dot with butter.
