Passover Nutty Wine Cake

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

8 eggs, separated
1 ¾ cup sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 ½ tablespoons warm water
½ cup cake meal
½ cup potato starch
1 tablespoon lemon
¾ cup nuts (chopped – plus enough wine to make 1 cup)

Instructions

Beat egg yolks, warm water and sugar until fluffy. Add cinnamon, lemon and nuts in wine. Add sifted cake and potato flour. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in greased tube at 350° for 1 hour.
