Passover Walnut Cake

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

¾ cup cake meal
¾ cup potato starch
½ teaspoon salt
6 egg yolks
6 egg whites, stiff
1 ¾ cup sugar
1 cup orange juice
1 cup ground nuts
1 tablespoon lemon rind

Instructions

Mix cake meal, potato starch and salt together. Beat egg yolks until thick, gradually add sugar, alternately with orange juice. Then add cake meal mixture. Fold in beaten egg whites, nuts and lemon rind. Bake in 9 inch tube pan for one hour at 350°. Invert pan and cool.
