Pie Crust

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 cup vegetable shortening
6 to 7 tablespoons ice water

Instructions

In a large bowl combine flour, sugar and salt. Using a pastry blender, cut in small amunts of shortening gradually until mixture resembles small peas. Add the ice water, one tablespoon at a time, using a fork to stir. After the fifth tablespoon of water has been added, the mixture should hold together when tested between two fingers. Add the next two tablespoons of water very gradually until mixture hold together. Makes 3 pie shell (9 inch).
