Pumpkin Pie

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

Pastry for 9 inch pie shell
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 ½ cups cooked or canned pumpkin
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon mace
½ cup white sugar
¼ teaspoon cloves
2 eggs
2 tablespoons flour
½ cup dark brown sugar (molasses may be substituted)
1 cup milk

Instructions

Mix pumpkin, butter, ginger, cinnamon, mace and cloves. In separate bowl beat eggs until light and fluffy. Stir in flour, both sugars, salt and milk. Mix two mixtures together lightly. Pour into prepared pie shell. Bake at 450° for 15 minutes. Lower temperature to 375° and bake for 45 minutes, or until knife comes out clean when inserted into pie.
