Sweet and Sour Chicken

Recipe Ingredients
2 or 3 cut up chickens
1 bottle Russian dressing
1 package dry onion soup
1 10 ounce jar apricot preserves
Instructions
Mix ingredients together and pour over chicken. (Save some to add after the first 45 minutes of baking). Bake in 325° oven for 1 ½ hours.
Variation to above:
1. Omit Russian dressing. Substitute 1 ½ cups salad dressing and ¾ cup chili sauce.
2. Add 2/3 cup water and ½ cup white wine
3. Add ½ cup orange juice
4. Add ¼ cup water
5. In the last half hour of cooking, add white grapes and ½ cup cut-up dried apricots.
6. For low cholesterol diets, omit Russian dressing. Substitute 1 – 12 ounce jar chili sauce.
