Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

6 eggs
¼ teaspoon slat
3 cups flour
1 tablespoon oil
½ teaspoon ginger
2 teaspoons baking powder
Syrup
1 lb. Honey
1 cup water
1 teaspoon ginger
2 cups sugar

Instructions

Make a well in a large bowl into which all the dry ingredients have been placed. Add the 6 eggs and oil. Form into a soft dough. Cut off a piece of dough and form into a long rope. Cut pieces off of rope long enough to make a bow knot. Bring all ingredients for syrup to a boil in a large pot. When honey syrup is boiling add pieces of dough. Do not crowd dough in pot. Let boil with cover on pot opened half way. Cook for 20 – 30 minutes until brown. Stir with a wooden spoon. After 30 minutes, add ½ cup cold water and remove taglach with a slotted spoon to plate.
